Description

HI Team

We are planing to Migrate our entire environment into AWS using Midvision RapidDeploy. For some of our Applications we need Horizontal Clustering. with the Midvison AMI if we spin up the two servers each server we are getting the Rapid Deploy and the Dmgr and Appserver profile. is there any AMI just have the Appsrv profile so we can add this AMI/Server to the DmgrAppserver server.

Thanks
Raj Martha

Hi Raj,

As explained in our documentation:

https://www.midvisioncloud.com/ibm-websphere-on-amazon-web-services/ibm-websphere-application-server-network-deployment-edition-aws

Our AMIs come with a default profiles configuration that consists on a deployment manager and a managed node agent.

If you check under the "Initial login and setup" section, you can see there's an "I want to set bespoke configuration" option. You need to follow these steps if you want to have a server with just a node agent and no deployment manager.

Let me know if you need further help on this.

Cheers!
