Feature #3598
Some suggestions for UI improvement
0%
Description
Hello.
Me again. :) Am configuring projects and faced some difficulties in doing that. So here are my suggestions.
1. Task panel could get resized when resizing project Map view (please see attached screenshot). That could make Resource value edit fields be wider to make it more simple to edit. Now it's not clear what I can change Map view width for - it does not change anything else. :)
2. Sometimes Resource value is too long and it's quite hard to edit it. It could be nice to have possibility to open an additional window for editing. Just like it is done for data dictionary entries. Or maybe it's worth adding some extended editor, where user could write own command and select existing data dictionary items. :) I faced the same problem when was configuring XPath commands - edit fields are very small and commands are very long. :)
3. Resource value field context menu - system shows a global RD menu instead of simple copy/cut/paste/undo actions. :) Maybe that's worth changing...
Best regards,
Vadim.

Hi Vadim,
Point 3 is easy to handle, you can disable the right click script on web pages in your browser.
Here's a useful page I found on how to do it for Firefox:
https://www.wikihow.com/Disable-%22No-Right-Click%22-Scripts-in-Firefox
About points 1 and 2, although they are incredibly good ideas, I'm not really sure if it's actually feasible in terms of implementation.
I've had a chat with Mariano and he's now with something else, but as soon as he gets the chance he'll check this and see if this is something doable.
Once again, thanks for your inestimable feedback! :-)
Cheers!
