Description

Hello.

Would like to ask for some help setting up LDAP connection. We do have a dedicated user for LDAP search that should be authenticated by "sAMAccountName", but I cannot understand how to setup all in a right manner.

Thank You in advance.

Best regards,
Vadim.

Hello.

Thank You and Mariano for such a great support!

Have one question: is it possible to make a batch users delete? I mean with the filter we used during setup all our company's workers were added to RD database. That's about 1000 people. :) I'll die before I remove all unnecessary. I do have a CN that corresponds to our unit only and it filters out only several workers that are working together with me and should have access to RD. So what's the fastest way to remove all users and add necessary only?
I tried to delete files from /rd/users directory (backed up before of course) but that didn't help - all users are in system.

Please help. :)

Best regards,
Vadim.

Hi Vadim,

I think we missed this question yesterday during our conversation! :-)

You already know that after changing the filter, users are not removed from the database, but instead they are disabled not remove possibly important information.

I guess it is possible to remove certain users from the database using a specific SQL query, but we would need to investigate that option as the default HSQL database is a bit delicate.

As you probably don't have much important information in the users table, one option would be to remove all users and synchronise again with the LDAP server.

Let me know if this is still a problem and I'll try to help you!

Cheers!

Hi Vadim,

Is this still an issue?

Let me know if you need anything else related to this case, otherwise I'll just time it out in a few days time.

Hi, Rafael.

That's not a problem with an excess users in RD database. I'll manage it through UI somehow. :) So the ticket can be closed.

Thank You for the support!

Best regards,
Vadim.
